  • Amazing adventures of the Air Marshal’s butterfly, Vladimir Kachan highlights the Purple Emperor Butterfly on stamps and how it was a favourite of a British Air Marshal.  

  • Wafer seals . Stewart Gardiner FRPSL examines the way  envelopes were sealed in the early 19th century.

  • The “Spud Papers “ queried, Gerhard Lang-Valchs questions whether this 19th century study of forgeries attributed mainly to  the notorious Spiro brothers also included forgeries by Torres and others as well as Spiro.  

  • Butter sculptures - Dave Hill examines some postcards of “butter sculptures“. It is not an April Fool item!
