  • The Postal Museum - An Exclusive PreviewChris Oliver attended a press preview of the new Postal Museum ahead of its public opening on 28 July 2017. Here he describes his visit and explains what each of the museum's five zones has to offer. 

  • A London/Bermuda Mystery Card - Michael Round recently bought a postcard that reached it's destination  without surcharge despite being posted in London bearing two Bermuda farthing stamps. The moiral is - always read postcard messages.

  • The stamp fun factory - poking fun at editors and collectors - Gerhard Lang-Valchs takes a good look at the work of Spanish engraver and stamp dealer Placido Ramon de Torres  who used illustrations and forgeries to play pranks on his clients and philatelic editors.

  • Your Editor is taken for a ride - Michael Goodman describes his visit to the newly re-opened Mail Rail

  • A bloody war and the early stamps and postal history of Paraguay - Following  war with its neighbours in 1862 Paraguay lost much of its territory and its population was reduced from half a million to just over 200,000.  Against this background the country issued its first stamps in 1870 and in this article, John Shaw, FRPSL describes material from these early days. 

  • Catalonia in the news now and also 70 years ago -  Recent events in Catalonia have led Dave Hill to produce a 1936 cover when 1936 when Catalonian independence was again in the news..
