What is the NATIONAL PHILATELIC SOCIETY?

  • One of the largest general philatelic societies in Great Britain whose members are drawn from throughout the UK and Overseas

  • The Society offers the renowned National Philatelic Society Library. UK members may borrow by post or obtain photocopies of material (copyright permitting). Browse the Library catalogues on line  and contact the Library on npslibrary@ukphilately.org.uk 

  • The Society holds its Meetings, normally on the second Saturday of the month, at 

    The Welsh Centre, 
    157-163 Gray's Inn Road, LONDON WC1X 8UE

  • Occasional country meetings are also held.
  • The Society also serves a worldwide membership and provides facilities and services, as described below, to those Members located further afield.

  • The National PS has celebrated its Centenary, having been founded by famous stamp collector and philatelic writer Fred J Melville as the Junior Philatelic Society in 1899
