The Closing time for the receipt of Postal Bids (by post or email) is 3pm on the Thursday before the auction (i.e. 2 days previously).

  • Having read about the auctions About the Auction and studied the NPS Auction Catalogue, * including the bidding rules and conditions set out in the Catalogue, come along to the meeting and bid in the room - with your cheque book or cash!

            * Auction catalogues are normally published a few weeks after the previous Auction e.g. around the end of January, March etc.

  • But if you can't get there, bid by post or by email. A Bidding Form is supplied with each Catalogue. The deadline for the receipt of Postal bids is 3pm pn the Thursday before the Saturday Auction - and this applies to Lots in the main Auction as well as lots in the Postal Only Section.

  • Postal Bids (whether by post or email) must only be sent to the Hon Auctioneer at the postal or email addresses shown given in the auction catalogue.

  • Succcesful postal bids will be forwarded as indicated in the introduction to the auction catalogue.

  • Postal Bidders may reject any lot if not as described provided that it is returned to the Society within 48 hours of receipt and in the same condition as it was when dispatched by the Society.

  •  Payment should be made on receipt of the invoice direct to the Society's bank account or by cheque payable to National Philatelic Society as indicated in catalogue or the Postal Bidding Form.
