The National Philatelic Society operates through the willing assistance of volunteers acting a number of ways - as members of the governing Council, as Society Officers running specific activities or as part of the teams manning the Library, running the Monthly Auction, despatching Stamp Lover or acting as National PS Stewards at events such as Stampex where the National PS runs the Information stand.

Volunteers to assist in the activities of the Society in this way are always being sought. Anyone who would like to give some of his or her time to help in this way is asked to contact the Hon General Secretary of the National Philatelic Society, c/o The British Postal Museum & Archive, Freeling House, Phoenix Place, London WC1X 0DL (nps@ukphilately.org.uk)
